Requirements for the Telefolio Assignment

3850, Fall, 2003

Professors Considine, Horton & Moorman

Make your own copy of the telefolio template located in the class shared folder ("3850c_h_m_f03" in the "3850" folder on the "L" drive in the RCOE computer labs). A zip disk is required.

From the zip disk, open "Index" in Netscape Composer. This is the "Homepage." Edit it to make it your own. Be sure your name is on this page. Develop a consistent "look" to use throughout the telefolio.

Edit the “cover page.” This is labeled “cover” in the template. You must write a brief overview of the artifacts and context. You do not need to link the cover page to a teaching philosophy, resume or your email (although it won’t hurt you).

Edit CAREFULLY “artifact one.” This artifact will be your class webquest project. You must include a thorough description of the artifact and a link to the artifact itself (you will need to make a copy of your webquest on the disk you are using for the telefolio in order to make this link). In addition, you will need to describe the context, impact and alignment. These are described on the template. You should also carefully examine the "RUBRIC" (follow the link); these will be the criteria that you will be graded on. Note that you should use the ISTE National Educational Technology Standards for the Alignment. Make sure you identify the Standard by number (i.e. IIC), link it to the actual standard, and explain how the artifact addresses the standard. DO NOT simply list the standards by number.

On the College of Education homepage, you can click on “Technology Resources” and then again on “Resource Pages for The The NC Essential Technology Skills Inventory.” The direct link to this page is:
