1. Sign up for the Price Reading Symposium. See Professor Moorman for a Symposium flyer.
   
2. Attend at least the morning session Keynote presentation by Vivian Gussin Paley. Make sure you pick up your badge at the registration desk.
   
3. Write a short, two paragraph personal reaction to the Symposium.
   
   In the first paragraph, summarize Ms. Paley's presentation. Be sure to include something unique that proves you attended.
   
   In the second paragraph, discuss how you might use something you learned in your own teaching.

If you are interested in early childhood education, you should read one or more of her books before the Symposium. We suggest The Boy Who Would Be a Helicopter as the most relevant book for this presentation.
